Features

Everything a mod team needs — in one place

From the first spam wave to the giveaway at the end of the stream. Every feature can be switched on and off on its own.

Spam & ads

Caps, special characters, repeats, emote spam and links — even disguised ones like “winku dot de”.

A word filter that isn’t fooled

Also catches w0rd, wooord and w o r d. For hate and threats there’s the instant ban.

Escalation with evidence

Delete first, then timeout, then ban. Every penalty goes into the record together with the chat lines before it.

Commands & modules

Your own commands with placeholders and ready-made modules like !uptime, !title or !lurk.

Timers

Recurring messages based on time and chat activity — only while you’re live, if you like.

Giveaways

Join with a keyword, more entries for subs, drawn fairly in the dashboard.

Events & raids

Your own messages for raids, follows and subs — so everyone feels seen.

Raid protection

One button against hate raids: followers-only, slow mode and strict filters at once.

Live chat for mods

Follow chat in the dashboard and step in with one click.

Team with permissions

Your mods get access — only to the sections you allow. Without your password.

Statistics

Actions, new chatters and the week’s peaks at a glance.

Change log

Who changed what, and when? Always traceable for you as the owner.

How it works

Ready in three steps

No download, no overlay, nothing to install.

Sign in with Winku

One account for all Winku services. Signing in with Twitch works too.

Connect channel

Twitch asks whether WatchMod may appear in your channel. Then you type /mod watchmod in your chat.

Pick a protection level

Relaxed, Balanced or Strict — with a preview of what changes. Fine-tune any time later.

Security & privacy

Your chat belongs to your chat

WatchMod only stores what moderation really needs — and deletes it after fixed periods.

No chat logging

WatchMod reads along in memory only. Something is stored only when it steps in: the triggering message and a few lines before it as evidence.

Fixed retention periods

The log is deleted after 90 days, the chatter list after a year without a visit. Disconnecting a channel deletes everything immediately.

Only the permissions it needs

All WatchMod needs from you: “may appear in my channel” and reading your mod list. Moderation runs through its own bot account.

One account, no new password

You sign in through winku.de. Request or delete your data there in your account at any time.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Anything left open? The Help explains all terms and placeholders.

Does WatchMod cost anything?

No. WatchMod is free.

Do I still need Nightbot or StreamElements?

Not for moderation, commands, timers and giveaways. WatchMod doesn’t do overlays and alerts — keep your current tool for those.

Why does WatchMod need to be a mod in my chat?

Twitch only lets moderators delete messages, time people out and switch chat modes. Without mod status WatchMod can only read along.

Does WatchMod read my whispers?

No. WatchMod only sees the public chat of the channels you connected.

Can my mods help out?

Yes. Add them under “Team” and decide which sections they may see and change. They don’t need your password.

What if I don’t want WatchMod anymore?

“Disconnect channel” under Settings: the permission is returned to Twitch and all your channel’s data is deleted immediately.

Ready for a more relaxed stream?

Connect your channel and pick a protection level. WatchMod takes care of the rest.
