How WatchMod works
Placeholders for your messages, the most important terms and a few shortcuts for quick fingers.
Placeholders
Written in curly braces in a message, WatchMod fills in the matching value when sending. Example: Willkommen, {nutzer}! becomes “Willkommen, lena_!”.

Terms
The person can’t chat for a while — from seconds up to two weeks. After that everything is back to normal.
Banned permanently until someone lifts the ban.
The ladder WatchMod follows: on the first violation, for example, delete only, on the second a short timeout, then longer.
After how many days without a new violation someone starts from zero again.
VIPs, subs or your own groups that a filter leaves alone. Mods and you yourself are always exempt.
Your own lists of people — your regulars, say — that you can exempt from individual filters.
Words with no second chance. Applies to VIPs and subs too.
A mod allows someone to post a link for a short time without turning off the link filter.
Ready-made settings for spam filters and escalation: Relaxed, Balanced or Strict.
For hate raids and bot waves: turns on several protections at once.
Twitch’s own pause between two messages from the same person.
All of a person’s penalties with reason, time, who gave them and the chat lines before as evidence.
People who may use your dashboard — each only in the sections you allow.
WatchMod keeps reading but does nothing: no filters, no commands, no timers.

First steps
Connect channel
On the channel list, “Connect channel” — Twitch asks for your consent.
Make it a mod
Type /mod watchmod in your chat.
Pick a protection level
On your channel overview, with a preview.
